CNBC Pro users can link up to six brokerage accounts via Plaid's secure encryption technology.
To link brokerage accounts to My Portfolio, make sure you are signed in with your Pro subscription and follow the instructions below:
1. If you have not linked an investment account yet, navigate to cnbc.com/my-portfolio and click on Link Portfolio.
Note: If you have already linked an investment account, click on Link another account option.
2. A pop-up window will open. Click on Continue.
The pop-up explains that CNBC uses Plaid to connect your account and that you must agree to Plaid's Privacy Policy and to receiving updates on Plaid.com.
3. Enter your phone number and click on Continue or click on Continue as guest to proceed without sharing your phone number.
4. Select your institution from the pre-loaded options or by typing in the search field.
5. Add your institutions login credentials. Depending on your institution you will have to open a new window to add your credentials. Your institution may also require you to accept their own terms and conditions.
6. Select which accounts from that provider you would like to link to My Portfolio and click on Continue.
Once you finish linking your account, you should be able to see it under My Portfolio.
Please note:
- My Portfolio is not yet available on CNBC mobile apps and can only be used on cnbc.com. However, you can still access this tool on your mobile device via web browser.
- Not all institutions are supported by Plaid yet, including non-U.S. brokerage accounts.
